The Eye of the Sahara (courtesy of a NASA photo) in Mauritania (also known as the Richat Structure) is certainly a natural phenomenon which comes to life when viewed from above.

  1. I don’t know why but that shot crept me out at first, but then I read the title and realized it was the Sahara.

    It really does look like a human eye, or a tire swirling in the mud. Who said science couldn’t be beautiful?
